IT Innovation Awards

The awards felicitate enterprises that have implemented a highly innovative IT solution which has resulted in the enterprise achieving business transformation, with better operational efficiency, process innovation and cost optimization in a short period of time.

This award category is open to MSMEs and Large Enterprises:

» IT Innovation Awards for MSMEs: 2 Awards – Gold, Silver
» IT Innovation Awards for Large Enterprises: 2 Awards – Gold, Silver

Participation is open for all companies (Indian and MNCs) with operations in India for three financial years. The eligibility criteria are based on enterprise size, turnover, employee base and number of years of operation in India. For details please refer to Guidelines.


IT Solution of the Year Awards

This award will recognise the solution developer / provider of the IT Innovation Award winning solution. In other words, this will be won by the IT firm which developed the innovative IT solution that helped an enterprise win the IT Innovation Award or that came close to doing so.

Awards will be given to IT vendors in both MSMEs and Large Enterprises categories:

» IT Solution of the Year Awards for MSMEs: 2 Awards – Gold, Silver
» IT Solution of the Year Awards for Large Enterprises: 2 Awards – Gold, Silver

The IT Solution could be in the form of new product/ new module/ new functionality or in forms of new pricing or deployment models adopted. The product/module should have been launched not earlier than 2012 and needs to be contextual to the Indian market.


IT.Biz Awards

This award is for enterprises that have best utilised their IT systems to improve business in terms of sales, profit, customer satisfaction and so on. For this category the IT solution deployed should not just be innovative, but also well utilized. In other words, this award will be won by an enterprise that has best optimised IT to ace business objectives, earned a quick return on investment (ROI) and brought about measurable improvements in productivity and boosted the bottom line.

This category is open to MSMEs and Large Enterprises:

» IT.Biz Awards for MSMEs: 2 Awards – Gold and Silver
» IT.Biz Awards for Large Enterprises: 2 Awards – Gold and Silver

Participation is open for all companies (Indian and MNCs) with operations in India for three fiscals.
The eligibility criteria are based on enterprise size, turnover and time taken to develop & implement the solution, revenue and cost savings. For details please refer to Guidelines.


Green IT Awards

This award category is applicable to enterprises that have adopted Green IT practices. Green IT practices could include projects that have enabled enterprises to optimise resources like reducing paper or power consumption, carbon emissions and also impacting climate change mitigation among others while at the same time making business sense.

This category will have two awards: Gold and Silver

Participation is open for all companies (Indian and MNCs) with operations in India for three financial years. The eligibility criteria is based on the green component of the project, costs involved, impact of the initiative besides reducing carbon footprint and adopting other environment friendly initiatives without compromising on business objectives and so on. CSR in IT Awards

This award category is applicable to the IT Company that best captured the spirit of Corporate Social Responsibility and is doing its bit to empower the society. The issue being addressed through the CSR initiatives could be social or environmental having an impact on the community. The companies will be judged on the novelty factor — the kind of initiative that the company took up as part of CSR, the impact created both in terms of the brand value as well as the benefit to society.

This category will have two awards: Gold and Silver

Participation is open to all IT companies (Indian and MNCs) with operations in India for three fiscals.
The eligibility criteria are based on the novelty factor — the kind of initiative that the company took up as part of CSR and the impact created for the company both in terms of the brand perspective as well as the benefit to society. For details please refer to Guidelines.


Awards for Start-ups

The IT sector has a lot of start-ups that are bringing fresh business ideas. This category of awards is open only to the IT sector and seeks to recognise the talent of these start-ups.

There will be two awards in this category:

a) Established start-up of the year award (for a firm that has established itself as a force)
b) Emerging start-up of the year award (most promising company)

There will be one award each in a & b.

Participation is open only to start-ups registered and incorporated in India. The eligibility criteria are based on start-up size, turnover, employee base and key business opportunity that the company is addressing and more. For details please refer to Guidelines.


HR in IT Awards

This category of awards is open to IT companies only, who have implemented path-breaking ideas in making the workplace employee friendly. Ideas that have helped increase employee productivity and employee engagement, as well as reduce attrition and manage wage expectations and have contributed to the overall employee happiness quotient.

This category will have two awards: Gold and Silver

Participation is open for all IT companies (Indian and MNCs) with operations in India for three fiscals.
The eligibility criteria is based on level of employee satisfaction, engagement, retention, the impact on productivity and business growth apart from the employee happiness quotient. For details please refer to Guidelines.


IT Lifetime Achievement Award

This is a Jury Nomination award that will be awarded to an individual, a veteran IT professional who, with his vision and exemplary contribution to the field of IT, has become an inspiration for many across the industry.


IT Newsmaker of the Year Award

This award is a Jury Nomination award specifically for the IT community. It will recognise the CXO who made the biggest news splash in the last one year with his innovative ideas, business excellence and overall progress for the company.

Methodology

Methodology
Participants can contest for 20 awards across nine categories. In addition, a senior IT professional will be rewarded for his/her contribution to the industry with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Another award will be given to the IT Newsmaker of the Year.
In the “call for entries” category, CXOs are welcome to send in their nominations from companies across industries. The entries will be evaluated by PwC, our Knowledge Support, based on the parameters defined. Read More +

The awards will not only recognize technological innovation and initiative that has benefited the community at large, but will assess the impact it has had on business transformation and growth. The idea is to reward an IT solution that has been leveraged to drive value addition in business.

With the objective of making the competition more meaningful, participating companies are being divided into categories: Medium and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and large corporates. Revenues for the fiscal 2012-13 will be considered as also the number of years of operation in India, employee strength of the organization and other parameters.

The genesis of the IT initiative needs to be explained:
· what were the key business drivers / challenges / issues that the solution aimed to address ?
· the technology platform(s) being used.
· the time taken to develop & implement the solution.
· costs involved size of the project.
